The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (FPPS) at Monash University is hosting a virtual employability expo - exclusively online and open to Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science students.  

Monday 19 April will focus on preparing fourth year Pharmacy students for their internship year in 2022, while the remaining days will showcase the wide range of Pharmaceutical Science career paths, including further study and research.

Join the Monash Parkville Student Union and Pharmaceutical Science Society for a glimpse into research at Parkville!

Hear from students at various points in their academic journeys discuss their experiences in research. This is also a great opportunity to ask any questions you might have about life in the laboratory.

Our panelists for the night will be:

  • Jae Pyun; a 3rd year PhD candidate under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Joseph Nicolazzo and Dr. Jennifer Short conducting research into new treatments of Alzheimer’s disease involving amyloid-beta efflux pumps in the blood-brain-barrier.
  • Ellie Ponsonby-Thomas; a 1st Year PhD candidate working with the Red Cross Milk Bank under the supervision of Dr. Malinda Salim and Dr. Laura Klein to conduct research into drug interactions with human milk.
  • Chloe Landy; an honours candidate under the supervision of Dr. Chengxue Helena Qin and Dr. Tara Elizabeth Scott conducting research into formyl peptide receptors in preclinical models of pulmonary hypertension.

A virtual employability expo is an online event that takes place over specific days and times to allow you to interact with organisations in a virtual environment - you can participate anywhere that you have Internet access. The event is accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
Each organisation has its own booth, and you can virtually visit each one to find internship opportunities, view a range of digital content including videos, and interact 1:1 with organisations of choice.
This event will run 24 hours a day from 2:00pm Monday 19 April until 5:00pm Friday 23 April 2021. You can log in as many times as you like during this week. Live and interactive events will take place on specific days – please see the Agenda for further information.
